Scheduling your skincare around your workouts!
Walking around with sweat on your face all day post-workout is going to make you breakout. But if you wash your face after a workout, aren't you then washing off all your morning skincare? Here's how to schedule your skincare routine around your workouts so your face stays clean and can still absorb all your skincare.
It's important to wash your face in the morning before working out for two reasons. One is that you shouldn't drive to the gym or go outside without SPF. The other concern is that if we use exfoliating products like Acne Gel or A+ Serum in the evening and don't wash our face in the morning before exercising, those products can mix with sweat and irritate our pores or migrate to the delicate skin around the eyes. So, how and when should we do it?
If you workout in the morning, follow this routine:
Upon waking up wash your face and apply SPF
Workout
Cleanse your skin again and complete your full morning skincare routine. Reapply SPF at the end
At the end of the day do your full night-time skincare routine
If you workout in the afternoon, follow this routine:
In the morning do your full skincare routine
Workout
After working out wash your face and apply moisturizer and SPF
Once it's evening, wash your face and complete your night-time skincare routine
If you workout in the evening, follow this routine:
In the morning do your full skincare routine
Workout
Cleanse your skin and complete your full night-time skincare routine.
It's crucial that you always have SPF on if the sun is out, and never wear Vitamin A or Acne gel while the sun is still out!
